Albert Sye brings his extensive knowledge of sales, marketing, branding and venture capital investments
into his new venture: Mean Circle Ventures
Creating Mean Circle Ventures, allows Albert to transcend cultures and bring value into his circle of
influence. Mean Circle Ventures is a firm that uses strategic partnerships with athletes and entertainers
to add value into the Pre-IPO Tech unicorns and CPG (consumer packaged goods) space.
Albert has a 15-year career in the beverage industry; spanning from brands like: CRUNK!!! Energy Drink ,
Muscle Milk , Atlantico Rum (owned by pop sensation Enrique Iglesias), Zing Vodka (Executive Director
of Urban Business Development) and Conjure Cognac (owned by Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and sold
to Camus Cognac in August 2016).
In February 2015, Albert became a brand consultant for the fastest growing water brand in the US: Core Nutrition. Albert helped the brand open up the following key markets: New York City, Las Vegas, the Midsouth and Southeast Region with distributing partner the Dr Pepper Snapple Group. In September 2016, Albert assumed a full-time role with Core Nutrition as a Regional Sales Manager in charge of North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana and Missouri. Core Nutrition was sold to Keurig Dr Pepper in the fall of 2018 for $525MM. In March 2019, Albert created a partnership with DYLA Brands (FORTO Coffee) and leveraged his relationship with NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal, bringing him onboard as both an investor and the co-owner of FORTO Coffee.
In December 2020, Albert furthered his partnership with DYLA Brands by facilitating the Venus Williams + Happy Viking plant-based protein shake deal. In January 2020, Albert furthered his journey in Venture Capital. Albert is a Venture Partner at the following firms: Value Investment Group and Intersect VC. Albert’s primary focus is on Pre-IPO tech unicorns and growth stage CPG (consumer packaged goods) companies. Over the past 2 years, Albert has invested in Lyft, Lime, RentTheRunway, AirBnB, Triller, Lemon Perfect, Beam, Mustard, Angel City and ZenWTR.
